Now, I did say I wouldn't add any nursery rhymes to this ukulele course...buuuuuuuuut, I think you'll find this well known tune a really good way to start learning how to pick the strings. So, go with me, and try this next lesson to see if I'm right!

Because we know the tune very well, it means it's already in our clever brains and this makes it easier to play on the ukulele. We know when we play the tune right and how it should sound.

This easy intro into picking will show you how to find each string and get a nice sound. You'll learn how to find your notes by counting the frets and using the right finger. You can test yourself to see how fast you can play the tune and I'll show you how you can play a duet with a friend who will accompany you by playing the chords as you pick the tune. Then you can swap over and learn both parts.
